Melco PBL gets the go ahead in Macau

Finally Packer gets the all clear and go ahead in Macau. This was a long on-going inquiry as Stanley Ho was originally part of the venture. This of course all changed when Melco stepped in with Lawrence Ho who has no interest in Australian Gaming.

Almost two years after revealing its Asian joint venture with Hong Kong group Melco, the Victorian and WA gaming regulators have approved the move following lengthy investigations.

By The Australian – The regulators, which oversee PBL’s Crown Casino in Melbourne and Perth’s Burswood Casino, were initially concerned that Melco was chaired by Stanley Ho, the former Macau casino monopolist.
