July 4, 2006 | MacaoCulturalCentre | Though cinema is a world of fantasy, it is also a reflection of numerous different cultural phenomena of the world we live in. These seminars intend to place cinema in its specific cultural context.
The aim of the course is that while watching films, students will be able to gain an understanding of the cultural aspects within cinema. Each course module is made up of two four-hour seminars, consisting of two hours of film showings followed by two hours of discussion concerning a specific topic. All seminars will be led by renowned movie critics or researchers in the field of cultural studies.
